From Tehran to Canada, and Finally, to California

My story begins in Tehran, my birthplace and first muse. From an early age, I was captivated by the intricate world of Persian art—the mesmerizing symmetry of rug design, the gilded elegance of Tazhib, and the delicate narratives of Persian Miniature. The enchanting art of Persian carpet weaving and the rhythmic precision of batik painting deepened my love for textiles, sparking a lifelong devotion to fabric and form.

In the year 2000, I earned my bachelor’s degree in textile and fashion design from the University of Jahad Daneshgahi in Tehran, setting the stage for an artistic journey that would take me across the world. I moved to Canada, where I spent the next 24 years honing my craft, expanding my artistic vision, and immersing myself in both Eastern and Western art forms.

During my time in Canada, I wore many creative hats—textile designer, fashion enthusiast, and educator—all while absorbing the rich tapestry of Western art and culture. My passion for learning led me to earn a Bachelor of Education in Fine Arts and a Master’s degree in Computational Media Design from the University of Calgary. Surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of Alberta, I found inspiration in the fusion of nature’s elegance and ancient Persian motifs.

After more than two decades in Canada, my journey led me to California, a place that now fuels my creativity with its dynamic energy, thriving artistic communities, and deep appreciation for handmade luxury.
